About Us - History

AGS, Pratap Pur was started to provide quality education to the children of the remote areas of the shyok valley on 26th May 1998. Similarly two other AGS were also intoduced at Bogdang and Tyakshi. Maj Gen V S Budhwar PVSM, VSM, GOC Trishul Division felt the concern about poor academic standards prevailing at Partappur and surrounding areas. He aspired that an academic environment should be established to provide quality primary education to the wards of the socially and economically backward class people. The school was started with a number of 56 students, and in a span of 25 years the school has been improved its standards to a commendable level. The numbers of students in this school has increased up to 344 childrens. The school has twin fold objective of providing quality primary education with special emphasis on all round development and provide education to socially and economically backward children.
